It's a date!

A girlie play date with Giulietta's friend Abbie & Abbie's twin sisters. The older girls made cupcakes, painted Disney princesses, enjoyed the sand box in the beautiful sunshine, and ate lunch on the swing set bench.

The whole time I kept thinking how cute Giulietta and Abbie were together. And then it dawned on me that I haven't really seen Giulietta play with other girls, other then Presley that is. Most of my friends have sons, so by default my girls have a lot of little buddies hanging around. Which is totally fine, but there is definitely something different about two little girls playing together. There's a magic, a sweetness, a special bond.

Family Fun Monday

Monday is our family fun day. The weekends at the Morad home have been busy, different, everyone trying to get their things done. I am trying to sew more, Ryan is restoring his 67 VW Beetle, and the girls are keeping busy with all their fun activities. Therefore, we are treating Monday's as our re-grouping days, and our days to do the family fun activities with the girls.

This past renewed on Disney passes and spent a few hours strolling around the happiest place on earth. It was a magical day filled with smiles, laughs, and new experiences.

We ended our Family Fun Monday with a boat ride through the world. The girls sang, clapped, and pointed our their favorite characters.

The things she does...

Tonight is one of those nights when I am extremely tired and don't feel like doing anything but going to bed! Truth me told, I'm actually writing this entire post on my phone! However, I made a promise to myself and my girls to document something everyday!

So, I figured I'd share why I am so tired! Let me preface this with the fact that I'm frugal or cheap, call it what you want! Thus, I do things, like the ones below, to save!

Last night, well actually about 2 AM this morning, I am awakened from a deep sleep, you see I went to bed only an hour before, by Giulietta holding her diaper...yes she is still wearing pull-ups or diapers at night only, because she refuses to give up the drink at bedtime & I just don't feel the need to fight it...she plops the soaked size 5 on my pillow, and irritably announces "my diaper won't stay on!" After I realize what's going on, I spring out of bed and quickly change her and put her back to sleep! Then, about an hour later she is back on the side of my bed telling me about an imaginary mouse in her room that was talking to her! Once again we march down the hall, snuggle her in and we sleep for a few hours more!

Moral of the story: the size 5 diapers suck, but were given to me for free so of course I am going to use them!

Here's to getting some sleep tonight!!

Best Face of 2011

When asked to search through my thousands and thousands of photos to find the BEST whatever, it is nearly impossible. Let's face it, I LOVE them all, or most of them, and that is why I keep them.

However, even though 2011 was filled with many open smile faces and faces filled with joy, delight, wonder, and excitement, I'd have to say that the picture of Giulietta below is my best face picture of 2011. It might not be the best photography wise, but is is the best in capturing...
