This week we welcomed new baby Archer to our family of friends, spent a few minutes helping sister find the perfect princess band-aide, and enjoyed some previously loved bargain books. The girls are growing more and more independent with each new day, leaving me with a bittersweet feeling. As much as I want to hold on tighter, I know that there is times when letting go just a smidge propels there growth exponentially.

Holding On
I often talk about how close Presley and I are, about how much she seems to need ME and only ME, about how she can literally be found hanging off of my hip like a little Koala bear. It's not better, worse or more special then the bond I have with Giulietta; it's just different. As the days quickly breeze by, as my little Sweet Pea grows more and more independent, and as our time together becomes shared with others, I am starting to feel her little grasp slip away faster and faster. And, to be honest it is slowly breaking my heart to think that she won't need me this way for much longer.

Fashionista
This Momma has lost some weight. Okay let's be honest, all of my baby weight to be exact! Even though I still have a ways to go until I get to my goal, I had do a little bit of shopping since most of my clothes were too baggy and pretty unflattering. Of course, after my little shopping spree came my fashion show. My dear friend Laura was the one that so kindly endured my parade, and took these pictures of my little assistant and I. As you can see, Giulietta had the posing down and was teaching me a thing or two about how to stand, smile, and position my hips. Boy do I love my little fashionista!

Weekly Round-Up
We were busy busy busy this week. Lot's of time out and about enjoying sweet treats with friends, the Easter Bunny (aka Uncle Kaka), and G's Trike-A-Thon. We also spent plenty of time home dancing in the dining room, playing in Daddy's boxes, and sleeping peacefully. My girls embrace being on the go, in fact, Giulietta has started asking me "Momma, where are we going next?" multiple times per day.
I'm embracing being a stay at home mom. I'm enthusiastically enjoying each moment with my little ladies. And, I'm working hard to giving them as many unforgettable experiences as possible.

Our Little Bunny
The girl's Uncle Kaka definitely follows in their Fafa's footsteps when it comes to character. They both sure have a lot of it, which they enjoy sharing with others. For the past few years, my brother has enjoyed meeting and greeting little kids, including his sweet nieces, as the Easter Bunny in South Coast Plaza. This past March my parents, the girls and I went up to visit our little bunny! Giulietta embraced him happily, while Presley hesitantly kept her distance.

Weekly Round-Up
Growth..This week has seen so much growth with each girl separately, as well as together. Presley now wants to walk around stores instead of riding in the cart, while Giulietta continues to dance her heart out on Monday afternoons. The girls are spending more time playing with each, and this week it was Tea with the two Cinderella's. As much as I'm enjoying watching them grow, I am grasping at the threads that keeps them small.

Week 26....10% Goal Accomplished
Dear Mr. Weight Watchers,
I did it! 10% of my body weight is gone, lost, and hopefully never to return (unless of course when I get pregnant again)! I'm not going to lie...the journey wasn't that fun! I really had to work at it. I really had to think about every tiny morsel I put into my mouth or just not to put in my mouth! I really had to make a commitment to change my lifestyle! But, that doesn't mean that I didn't cheat a little bit here and there! Regardless of how long it took me or how hard it was, I owned it and I'm proud!
This past week we talked about moving! We all do that right? Wrong! Moving our hand from the bag of chips to our mouth doesn't exactly count. As a former avid soccer player, I sat in the meeting thinking about what I actually do daily that would count as exercise. I was surprised to see that I was among the many who do not add exercise into my daily life. Sure I chase around two little kidlets, and my fingers pounce up and down on the keyboard rather fast, but that doesn't necessarily count. Let's be honest, those types of activities don't count at all. I do occasionally take walks, which I thoroughly enjoy, however I haven't made exercise a priority in my weight loss journey. It's time for me to get up, get out, and get moving!
I am a firm believer in rewards. As an educator I reward my students when they do a good job in class, as a parent I reward my children when they make me proud, as a weight watcher I reward myself when I lose! It's not clothes or shoes that make me feel rewarded. It's food baby, and In-N-Out to be exact. Because...let's face it, food is the reason why I'm here! But, a little bit here and a little bit there does any body good! Here's to another great week Mr. Weight Watchers. I am 10% lighter, another pant size down, and another goal closer to my lifetime!
